State Secretary Atsma Inaugurates World-Scale Hydrogen Plant in Rotterdam Botlek

Overall energy efficiency will improve by more than 15%.
CO2 emissions will be 200,000 tons per year lower, comparable to taking 90,000 cars off the road annually.
Air Products increases hydrogen production capacity at the site by approximately 50%.

Today, Air Products and ExxonMobil celebrated the start-up of a new world-scale hydrogen production plant in Rotterdam. Joop Atsma, State Secretary for Infrastructure and the Environment, Mayor Aboutaleb of Rotterdam and Hans Smits, CEO Port of Rotterdam, participated in the official ceremony. Integrating ExxonMobil’s refinery with Air Products new hydrogen plant will lead to a 15% improvement in energy efficiency and reduce related CO2 emissions by 200,000 tons per year.

“Key to achieving the delivery of a world-class plant of this size and scope within such an aggressive timetable was the expertise and close collaboration of all those involved in the project. The Dutch government and local authorities also played an important role in helping us to deliver a plant that, by design, minimizes the loss of heat to the environment and reduces the natural gas requirement,” said Jeff Byrne, Air Products’ global vice president and general manager - Tonnage Gases. “As a location, the ExxonMobil Botlek site offers significant synergy in terms of our products and feedstock flow. It also allows us to connect the new plant into our extensive Rotterdam hydrogen pipeline network, which supplies hydrogen to several other customers in the region.”

State Secretary Atsma said in his speech that the importance of the new plant should not be underestimated. “We need plants like this one nationally as well as internationally to achieve our European mid-term and long term environmental ambitions. Today, Air Products and ExxonMobil show that by a targeted investment and integration of industrial processes, a substantial energy saving and CO2 reduction are being achieved. ’’

The Air Products plant uses ExxonMobil refinery’s excess gas to produce hydrogen. The refinery uses hydrogen for the desulphurization of oil products and in the manufacture of petrochemicals. The new plant uses the most advanced processes and technologies which makes the hydrogen production considerably more efficient than the previous hydrogen supply to the refinery. The hydrogen plant also delivers steam to the refinery. The synergy in the production processes of the two plants will improve overall energy efficiency by more than 15%.

“Improving energy efficiency is the best way to reduce energy consumption and related CO2 emissions,” says Andrew Madden, ExxonMobil Refinery Manager. “Through projects such as this one refineries can continue to provide oil products economically while continuing to reduce their environmental footprint. The Rotterdam refinery and petrochemical complex play an important role in our global company and the integration with the hydrogen plant demonstrates ExxonMobil’s commitment to disciplined investments in this region.”

Air Products, in conjunction with Technip – its main contractor on the project – began construction of the new hydrogen plant in June 2010. Maria van der Hoeven, Minister of Economic Affairs at that time, officially started the ground breaking. The start-up of the new hydrogen plant took place in December 2011. It took approximately one million man-hours to build the plant. The construction was completed with more than 450 people working at the site at one time, with eight different languages spoken. Although there were challenging circumstances, the worker’s safety was managed proactively and successfully.

Vandaag vieren Air Products en ExxonMobil de officiële ingebruikname van een nieuwe fabriek voor de productie van waterstof in Rotterdam. Joop Atsma, Staatssecretaris voor Infrastructuur en Milieu, Burgemeester Aboutaleb van Rotterdam en Hans Smits, CEO van Havenbedrijf Rotterdam, verrichten de officiële handeling. Dankzij de integratie van de ExxonMobil-raffinaderij met de nieuwe waterstoffabriek van Air Products verbetert de energie-efficiëntie met meer dan 15% en worden gerelateerde CO2-emissies met 200.000 ton per jaar teruggebracht.

"De realisatie van deze fabriek van wereldformaat in zo'n kort tijdsbestek was alleen mogelijk dankzij de expertise en nauwe samenwerking van alle betrokken partijen. Ook de overheid en lokale autoriteiten speelden een belangrijke rol in de totstandkoming van de fabriek, die zó ontworpen is dat het verlies aan warmte naar het milieu geminimaliseerd en de benodigde hoeveelheid aardgas verminderd worden," zei Jeff Byrne, Global Vice-President Tonnage Gases en General Manager van Air Products. "Voor wat betreft de locatie biedt de Botlek-site van ExxonMobil aanzienlijke synergie in de product- en grondstoffenstromen. Ook was het mogelijk om de nieuwe fabriek aan te sluiten op ons uitgebreide Rotterdamse pijpleidingennetwerk, waarmee waterstof wordt geleverd aan verschillende andere klanten in de regio."

In zijn toespraak zei staatssecretaris Atsma dat het belang van de nieuwe fabriek niet onderschat mag worden. "Fabrieken als deze hebben we nationaal en internationaal nodig om onze Europese milieuambities voor de middellange en lange termijn te behalen. Vandaag laten Air Products en ExxonMobil zien dat door gericht te investeren en industriële processen te integreren, een aanzienlijke energiebesparing en vermindering van CO2-uitstoot behaald wordt. ''

De Air Products-fabriek gebruikt het overtollige gas van de ExxonMobil-raffinaderij om waterstof te produceren. De raffinaderij gebruikt waterstof voor de ontzwaveling van olieproducten en bij de productie van petrochemische producten. De nieuwe fabriek maakt gebruik van de meest geavanceerde processen en technologieën waardoor de waterstofproductie aanzienlijk efficiënter is dan de voormalige levering van waterstof aan de raffinaderij. De waterstoffabriek levert ook stoom aan de raffinaderij. Door de synergie in de productieprocessen van de twee fabrieken zal de energie-efficiëntie met meer dan 15% verbeteren.

"Verbeteren van energie-efficiëntie is de beste manier om het energiegebruik en de daaraan gerelateerde CO2-uitstoot te verminderen", zegt Andrew Madden, directeur van de ExxonMobil-raffinaderij. "Met projecten zoals deze kunnen raffinaderijen op een economisch verantwoorde manier olieproducten blijven leveren en tegelijkertijd hun footprint op het milieu blijven verkleinen. Het Rotterdamse raffinaderij- en petrochemische complex speelt een belangrijke rol in ons wereldwijde concern en de integratie met de waterstoffabriek is een voorbeeld van ExxonMobil's commitment om gericht te investeren in deze regio."

Air Products begon, samen met Technip – de grootste contractor in dit project – in juni 2010 met de bouw van de nieuwe waterstoffabriek. Toenmalig Minister van Economische Zaken Maria van der Hoeven gaf destijds het officiële startsein. In december 2011 werd de nieuwe waterstoffabriek opgestart. De bouw van de fabriek nam ongeveer 1 miljoen manuren in beslag; tijdens de bouwperiode waren meer dan 450 mensen tegelijkertijd aan het werk , met 8 verschillende spreektalen. Ondanks de uitdagingen die de omstandigheden met zich meebracht, werd de veiligheid van de mensen proactief en succesvol gemanaged.

Firma Air Products, największy dostawca gazów technicznych w Polsce, zorganizowała w dniach 1-3 lutego 2012 roku w siedzibie Europejskiej Grupy Technologicznej (European Technology Group) Air Products w Basingstoke w Wielkiej Brytanii wystawę prezentującą osiągnięcia ponad 20 lat działań firmy w zakresie opracowywania innowacji. Wydarzenie było okazją do podkreślenia celowości inwestycji w badania i rozwój, a także wyeksponowania współpracy wielu podmiotów przy projektach badawczych.

Gośćmi wystawy „Duch innowacji” byli studenci kierunków ścisłych, partnerzy projektów badawczo-rozwojowych z całej Europy oraz klienci Air Products. Na wystawie można było zobaczyć najważniejsze oraz nagradzane projekty opracowane przez Europejską Grupę Technologiczną Air Products. Zaprezentowano osiągnięcia ośrodka od jego otwarcia w 1991 r. do

chwili obecnej oraz ich wpływ na rozwój wielu sektorów przemysłu na świecie. Dwa prezentowane eksponaty Air Products – technologia oczyszczania gazów wysokiej czystości BIP® oraz butla Integra® wraz z towarzyszącą jej ofertą gazów spawalniczych Maxx®, uzyskały prestiżową brytyjską nagrodę Queen’s Awards for Enterprise: Innovation, odpowiednio w 2004 i 2007 roku.

Wiele opracowanych przez firmę Air Products innowacji znalazło komercyjne zastosowanie w różnych gałęziach przemysłu. Air Products repasa sus 21 años de éxitos en I+D en la exposición “Espíritu de Innovación”

Air Products organizó, entre el 1 y el 3 de febrero, una exposición para
conmemorar sus 21 años de innovación y para promover la importancia de la colaboración en
proyectos de investigación como núcleo del desarrollo de I+D. La exhibición “Espíritu de
Innovación” tuvo lugar en la sede del Grupo de Tecnología Europea, en Basingstoke.

En el evento se mostraron algunos de los productos del Grupo de Tecnología Europea de Air
Products más significativos y con más reconocimiento en materia de I+D -desde que se inaugurara la
instalación en 1991 hasta la fecha-, así como los que han tenido un mayor impacto en el mercado
global. Dos de los productos expuestos, la gama de tecnología BIP® y las botellas Integra® -con su
complementaria gama de gases Maxx®- lograron el Queen's Award for Innovation (premio de la
Reina de Inglaterra a la innovación) en 2004 y 2007, respectivamente.

En las últimas décadas, la tecnología de congelación criogénica ha encontrado numerosas
aplicaciones industriales, desde sistemas de congelación de alimentos a soluciones de control de
emisiones, así como cualquier aplicación que requiera un entorno extremadamente frío. Los túneles
de gases industriales y las botellas de gas se emplean también en todo lo relacionado con la
construcción submarina, los análisis de laboratorio y hasta las aplicaciones para soldadura.
A la inauguración de la exposición “Espíritu de Innovación” acudieron estudiantes e investigadores
de la localidad, así como numerosos clientes y socios de industriales de toda Europa.

John Marsland, Vice-presidente de Air Products y Director Mundial de Gases Comerciales, comentó:

Air Products’ Hydrogen Technology to Surpass Fueling of Over 1,000 Material Handling Fuel Cell Units Daily at U.S. Customer Warehouses

Today Air Products (NYSE: APD) helps businesses move consumer goods purchased and used every day by providing the hydrogen fueling and infrastructure to power nearly 1,000 material handling fuel cell units operating in warehouses across the United States. And when Air Products soon brings on stream its industry leading technology to fuel the material handling units of a customer with warehouse locations in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts and Texas, it will easily eclipse the 1,000 unit milestone.

There are many advantages to using hydrogen-powered forklifts and material handling equipment. Hydrogen-powered equipment only needs refueling once or twice daily, depending on use, and does not require change-out downtime while traditional battery-powered equipment is taken out of operation for battery replacement or recharging approximately every four to six hours. Hydrogen-powered equipment provides consistent power strength during use and does not experience decreased performance or wear down as battery units do when nearing change-out or recharge time. Additionally, unlike battery-powered forklifts, hydrogen-powered fuel cells are not adversely impacted by temperature when operating in coolers and freezers. Further, hydrogen-powered equipment is more environmentally friendly and does not involve lead-acid battery storage or disposal issues.

Dzięki tunelowi zamrażalniczemu Freshline QS można łatwo zintegrować w jedną linię produkcyjną mrożenie produktów spożywczych na danym etapie produkcji z linią ciągłego zamrażania. Umożliwia to uwolnienie miejsca w zakładzie produkcyjnym poprzez dostosowanie produkcji do aktualnego popytu rynkowego na dane produkty żywnościowe.

W tunelach zamrażalniczych firmy Air Products wykorzystywany jest ciekły azot o bardzo niskiej temperaturze -196 stopni Celsjusza, który umożliwia znaczne obniżenie temperatury produktów spożywczych. Urządzenia te pozwalają na szybkie mrożenie żywności liczone w minutach, a nie w godzinach, jak ma to miejsce w przypadku tradycyjnych systemów do mrożenia działających z zastosowaniem amoniaku czy freonu. Air Products’ Hydrogen Technology Fueling Material Handling Fuel Cells at WinCo’s California Warehouse

Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced that its industry leading hydrogen fueling technology and infrastructure is now on stream and providing hydrogen to fuel material handling fuel cell units at WinCo Foods LLC’s 800,000 square foot grocery distribution center in Modesto, Calif. Air Products is currently fueling 33 material handling units, with 49 more pieces of equipment to be added in April, and increasing to 184 overall when the facility conversion to hydrogen-powered fuel cell lifts is complete in 2013.

“We continue to grow our leadership position in the material handling equipment market at a time when recognition of the productivity and sustainability benefits of hydrogen fueling for this application continues to increase. We worked closely with WinCo as the timing for getting hydrogen supply installed was critical to a seamless conversion of their material handling equipment to hydrogen fuel cells. We began using our mobile fueling technology, and then brought the permanent fueling station online this month which includes two fueling dispensers,” said Sarah Hammond, business development manager – Hydrogen Energy Systems at Air Products. The WinCo material handling units being fueled by Air Products include Plug Power’s (NASDAQ: PLUG) GenDrive® hydrogen fuel cell power units. The GenDrive systems can be quickly refueled in just minutes, completely eliminating the need to change, store, charge and maintain multiple lead acid batteries for each lift.

There are many advantages to using hydrogen fuel cell-powered forklifts and material handling equipment. Hydrogen-powered equipment only needs refueling once or twice daily, depending on use, and does not require change-out downtime while traditional battery-powered equipment is taken out of operation for battery replacement or recharging approximately every four to six hours. Hydrogen-powered equipment provides consistent power strength during use and does not experience decreased performance or wear down as battery units do when nearing change-out or recharge time. Additionally, unlike battery-powered forklifts, hydrogen-powered fuel cells are not adversely impacted by temperature when operating in coolers and freezers. Further, hydrogen-powered equipment is more environmentally friendly and does not involve lead-acid battery storage or disposal issues.

Air Products accueille du 1er au 3 février 2012 une exposition dans les quartiers généraux de son Centre d'excellence technologique européen à Basingstoke (Grande-Bretagne) qui retrace 21 ans d'innovations. Il souligne ainsi l'importance des projets collectifs de recherche, élément clé de ses investissements en R&D.

L'exposition « Esprit d'innovation » est organisée à l'attention des étudiants en sciences de la région comme des clients et des partenaires industriels et de recherches du Groupe en Europe. Y sont mis en exergue quelques uns des succès les plus significatifs obtenus par le Centre d'excellence technologique européen depuis son ouverture en 1991, distingués par des prix, et qui ont eu un impact sur le marché mondial. Deux d'entre eux – la technologie BIP® d'Air Products et la Bouteille Integra®, avec sa gamme de gaz Maxx® - ont ainsi respectivement obtenu le Queen's Award for Innovation en 2001 et 2007.

Air Products Announces "Spirit of Innovation" Exhibition to Showcase 21 Years of R&D Success

Air Products is hosting an exhibition at its European Technology Group’s headquarters in Basingstoke to showcase 21 years of innovation and to promote the importance of collaborative research projects as a focus for R&D investment.

The ‘Spirit of Innovation’ exhibition (1–3 February 2012) will be attended by local science students as well as a host of customer, research and industry partners from across Europe. Exhibits at the event will include some of the European Technology Group’s most significant and award-winning R&D success stories to date, since the facility opened in 1991, and their impact in the global marketplace. Two of the exhibits – Air Products’ BIP® technology and the Integra® cylinder, with its complementary Maxx® gases range, have achieved Queen’s Awards for Innovation in 2004 and 2007 respectively.

In recent decades, cryogenic technology has found many varied industrial uses in everything from food freezing systems to emissions control solutions, in fact, in virtually any application that benefits from an extremely cold environment. Industrial gas cylinders and cylinder packs are used in everything from sub sea construction to laboratory analysis and welding applications.

Omzet Air Products in eerste kwartaal van boekjaar 2012 stabiel

Air Products (NYSE:APD), één van de grootste leveranciers van industriële gassen en equipment ter wereld, heeft in het eerste kwartaal van boekjaar 2012, dat afliep op 31 december 2011, een omzet gerealiseerd van 2,423 miljard dollar. Dat betekende een stijging van 1 procent ten opzichte van het eerste kwartaal in boekjaar 2011. De brutowinst over het eerste kwartaal bedroeg 385 miljoen dollar, een daling van 5 procent vergeleken met het eerste kwartaal van boekjaar 2011. In Nederland heeft Air Products diverse kantoren en productielocaties, waaronder het Europese hoofdkantoor van Air Products Chemicals Europe B.V. in Utrecht.

De divisie ‘Merchant Gases’ boekte in het eerste kwartaal van boekjaar 2012 net als in 2011 een omzet van 989 miljoen dollar. De lagere volumes werden deels gecompenseerd door hogere prijzen in Noord-Amerika en Europa. De winst daalde met 4 procent naar 192 miljoen dollar. De omzet bij de divisie ’Tonnage Gases’ bedroeg 810 miljoen dollar, een stijging van 6 procent ten opzichte van het eerste kwartaal van boekjaar 2011. De stijging was het gevolg van een hogere productie door de inbedrijfstelling van enkele nieuwe fabrieken. De brutowinst daalde met 4 procent naar 111 miljoen dollar, met name als gevolg van hogere onderhoudskosten. De divisie ‘Electronics and Performance Materials’ realiseerde in vergelijking met het eerste kwartaal van 2011 een omzetgroei van 2 procent en kwam uit op 535 miljoen dollar. De winst in deze divisie steeg vergeleken met het eerste kwartaal in het vorige boekjaar met 13 procent naar 78 miljoen dollar. De divisie ‘Equipment and Energy’ zette in het eerste kwartaal van 2012 89 miljoen dollar om, een daling van 21 procent. Die daling werd vooral veroorzaakt door een teruglopend aantal ASU- en LNG-projecten. De winst daalde met 64 procent naar 7 miljoen dollar.

“We hadden verwacht dat de economische groei in het afgelopen kwartaal zou vertragen, waardoor de verkochte volumes en de omzetgroei onder druk zouden komen staan”, zei CEO John McGlade. “Maar ondanks de economische tegenwind hebben we toch onze efficiency weten te verbeteren, de kosten verder kunnen verlagen en hebben we ook enkele belangrijke bulkcontracten binnengehaald.”

Vooruitblikkend zei McGlade: “We verwachten dat de economische activiteit in het tweede kwartaal nog zal achterblijven, maar we voorspellen dat de groei in Azië en Noord-Amerika in de tweede helft van ons boekjaar 2012 weer zal toenemen. In combinatie met de verbeterde efficiency en een aantal nieuwe fabrieken dat in gebruik genomen wordt, zou dat in de tweede helft van het jaar tot een hogere productie en een hogere omzet moeten leiden. Dankzij recent afgesloten contracten, onze goed gevulde orderportefeuille en onze betrokkenheid bij tal van aanbestedingen hebben we goede vooruitzichten om onze doelstellingen tot 2015 wat betreft groei, marge en return on capital te realiseren.”

Air Products (NYSE:APD) today reported net income of $292 million*, or diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.36*, for its fiscal first quarter ended December 31, 2011, versus $296 million* and $1.35* for the first quarter of fiscal 2011.

The discussion of first quarter results and guidance in this release is based on non-GAAP comparisons. A reconciliation can be found at the end of this release.*

First quarter revenues of $2,423 million increased one percent versus the prior year on higher prices in Merchant Gases and Performance Materials. Higher volumes from new plants in Tonnage Gases were offset by lower Equipment sales and lower volumes in Performance Materials and Merchant Gases.

Sequentially, sales declined seven percent due to seasonality in Electronics and Performance Materials and Merchant Gases, plus currency effects. Operating income of $385 million was down five percent and margin of 15.9% was down 100 basis points from last year driven by lower Equipment sales and weaker Merchant Gases volumes.

John McGlade, chairman, president and chief executive officer, said, “As we expected, economic growth continued to slow this quarter, depressing volumes and limiting earnings growth. In spite of these economic headwinds, we did improve our operating performance, while lowering costs and winning significant new tonnage contracts.”

First Quarter Segment Performance

Merchant Gases sales of $989 million were unchanged versus prior year as lower volumes were offset by higher pricing in U.S./Canada and Europe Liquid Bulk and Packaged Gases. Operating income of $192 million decreased four percent from the prior year, due principally to weaker volumes. Sequentially, sales decreased five percent, driven by lower volumes and currency effects. Operating income was flat and margin was up 100 basis points sequentially on improved operating performance and productivity.
Tonnage Gases sales of $810 million were up six percent on improved volumes from new plants. Operating income of $111 million decreased four percent from the prior year due to higher maintenance costs from outages. Sequentially, sales were down eight percent due to lower volumes and lower energy pass-through. Sequential operating income decreased 27% on higher maintenance costs, favorable gases contract modifications in the prior quarter and an unfavorable polyurethane intermediates contract modification in the current quarter.
Electronics and Performance Materials sales of $535 million increased two percent on higher volumes and pricing. Electronics sales were up four percent while Performance Materials sales decreased one percent versus last year. Operating income of $78 million increased 13 percent from the prior year primarily due to improved cost performance. Sequential sales were down nine percent due to seasonal volume declines in both Electronics and Performance Materials. Operating income was down 15 percent sequentially on the lower volumes.
Equipment and Energy sales of $89 million and operating income of $7 million were down 21 percent and 64 percent respectively versus prior year, driven by lower ASU and LNG project activity. Sequential sales decreased seven percent. The sales backlog versus prior year is up 48 percent.

Outlook

Looking ahead, McGlade said, “We expect second quarter economic activity to remain slow. We are forecasting Asia and North America growth to accelerate in the second half of our fiscal year. Coupled with our improved operating performance and new plant on-streams, this should lead to stronger sales and earnings growth in the last half of our year. Our recent orders, strong project backlog and robust bidding activity position us well to achieve our 2015 goals for growth, margin and returns.”

Air Products is maintaining its guidance for fiscal 2012 of $5.90 to $6.30 per share. The company expects second quarter EPS to be between $1.37 and $1.43 per share.

Poultry processors looking for ways to improve productivity, increase product yield and lower costs while producing high-quality products can turn to Air Products’ (NYSE:APD) Freshline® solutions. The company will be highlighting its range of technology and equipment solutions for freezing, chilling, mixing, forming and more at the International Poultry Expo (IPE) in Atlanta, Ga. from January 24-26.

Air Products’ portfolio of Freshline solutions includes cryogenic food processing equipment that uses liquid nitrogen (LIN) to rapidly chill, cool or freeze a high-quality product. Accounting for more than three-quarters of the earth’s atmosphere, nitrogen is plentiful, making it a reliable alternative to carbon dioxide, which experiences regular, seasonal supply shortages. Air Products offers nitrogen in a variety of supply modes that can match the volume requirements of any size operation.

Among the offerings that Air Products will highlight at this year’s IPE is Freshline® LIN-IS, which is a specially designed liquid nitrogen injection solution that can be retrofitted to new or existing mixers, grinders and blenders for fast, consistent and repeatable cooling. LIN-IS can be used to manage the temperature of minced or chopped proteins through controlled injection of liquid nitrogen into the product during mixing, which can reduce the difficulty of subsequent forming caused by machine-generated heat.

In addition, Air Products offers cryogenic freezers that use the ultra-fast freezing power of liquid nitrogen (LIN), which can help poultry processors improve yield and enhance product quality. The Freshline® DM tunnel freezer is a highly flexible option that allows manufacturers to process both IQF (individually quick frozen) and flat or trayed products in a single machine. The company also offers its new Freshline® QS tunnel freezer, which is an economical and easy-to-operate option for food processors who want to convert to continuous freezing, alleviate a bottleneck in their operation, or grow and diversify their existing product line. Carburos Metálicos y MATGAS ponen en marcha una investigación sobre congelación criogénica con la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia

La compañía de gases Carburos Metálicos, del Grupo Air Products, junto con el centro de excelencia en investigación de CO2 y sostenibilidad MATGAS, ha anunciado la firma de un proyecto de investigación sobre congelación criogénica con la Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (UPV). El objetivo del proyecto es potenciar y expandir las amplias ventajas de la congelación de alimentos con nitrógeno líquido, además de otros programas de investigación.

El túnel de congelación Freshline® QS es un nuevo diseño de congelador criogénico de alimentos. Puede ser utilizado para enfriar o congelar criogénicamente una amplia variedad de alimentos, como por ejemplo carnes, aves de corral, mariscos, frutas y verduras, pastas, productos lácteos, productos horneados y comidas preparadas. Con un diseño simple, el nuevo túnel de congelación es ideal para transformadores de alimentos de pequeño volumen, o para empresas que quieran iniciarse en la congelación de productos con alta calidad pero con un coste inicial mínimo.

La primera actividad que se desarrollará en la investigación consiste en instalar el túnel de congelación Freshline® QS en el Departamento de Tecnología de Alimentos de la UPV. El túnel Freshline® QS forma parte de la cartera de productos de la gama Freshline de Air Products, empresa matriz de Carburos Metálicos. Los avances logrados en la investigación de la congelación criogénica aportarán una importante mejora a la calidad global de los productos alimenticios congelados.

Además de los citados programas de investigación, se organizarán visitas a la zona de procesadores de alimentos para ver en funcionamiento el congelador, así como observar los beneficios de la congelación criogénica. El túnel de congelación estará a disposición de las empresas que quieran llevar sus productos para ensayar con ellos, y conocer si el túnel de congelación es adecuado para sus productos.

Air Products annonce son projet de cession au Groupe Linde de ses activites de soins medicaux a domicile (Homecare) en Europe Continentale

Air Products (NYSE : APD) a annoncé la conclusion d’accords avec le groupe Linde portant sur le rachat de ses activités de soins médicaux à domicile (Homecare) en Europe continentale. Il s’agit pour Linde d'acquérir les activités Homecare de l'entreprise en Belgique, en Allemagne, au Portugal et en Espagne ainsi qu’en France. Les transactions sont assujetties aux procédures d'approbation réglementaire et de consultation des employés.

Le prix d'achat total des activités de soins médicaux à domicile (Homecare) d'Air Products en Europe continentale sera de 590 MM €, sous réserve des conditions convenues lors de la signature du contrat.

Les termes de ces accords couvrent la vente des services aux patients d’Air Products en oxygénothérapie, traitement de l’apnée du sommeil et thérapie par perfusion en Europe continentale. Ces activités concernent près de 260 000 patients au total, répartis dans les cinq pays cités précédemment et ont représenté un CA de 210 MM d’euros en 2011.

John McGlade, président et PDG de l'entreprise, a déclaré : « Pendant de nombreuses années, notre équipe européenne de soins médicaux à domicile (Homecare) a géré ces activités de façon très rentable et nous a permis de nous imposer comme leader dans divers domaines. Air Products anuncia sus planes de venta de la división de terapias domiciliarias en Europa Continental a Linde

La compañía Air Products ha anunciado hoy el establecimiento de un acuerdo con Linde (The Linde Group) para la compra de su negocio de terapias domiciliarias en Bélgica, Francia, Alemania, España y Portugal. Dicha transacción está sujeta, a día de hoy, a los requisitos de aprobación legislativa, así como a la consulta de los empleados.

El precio total de la compra de la división de atención domiciliaria de Air Products asciende a 590 millones de euros, sujeto a los términos acordados tras la finalización de la transacción.

Los acuerdos cubren tanto la venta de los servicios de terapias domiciliarias de Air Products (oxigenoterapia, terapia del sueño, aerosolterapia, etc.), como la de otros servicios de la compañía en los cinco países antes mencionados, que atienden a más de 260.000 pacientes.

Según apunta John McGlade, presidente y director general de Air Products, “durante muchos años, nuestro equipo europeo de terapias domiciliarias ha dirigido con éxito esta división y, además, ha conseguido que alcance posiciones de liderazgo. A Air Products (NYSE: APD) anunciou hoje que chegou a acordo com o grupo Linde acerca da venda do negócio de Cuidados Domiciliários na Bélgica, França, Alemanha, Portugal e Espanha. As transações estão sujeitas a requisitos de aprovação legal e de consulta dos funcionários.

O preço total da aquisição do negócio de Cuidados Domiciliários na Europa Continental da Air Products será de € 590 MM (sujeito aos termos acordados aquando da sua conclusão).

O acordo inclui a venda dos serviços para pacientes de terapia com oxigénio, terapia do sono e terapia de infusão da Air Products na Europa Continental. Este negócio abrange cerca de 260 mil pacientes, num total de cinco países, onde obteve uma receita aproximada de € 210 MM no ano passado.

Air Products kondigt aan om haar Homecare activiteiten in continentaal Europa te verkopen aan de Linde Group

Air Products (NYSE:APD) kondigt vandaag aan dat het met de Linde Group een overeenkomst heeft bereikt om haar Homecare activiteiten in België, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Portugal en Spanje aan deze groep te verkopen. De transacties moeten goedgekeurd worden door de regelgevende instanties en vereisen ook nog het nodige werknemersoverleg.

De totale verkoopprijs van de Homecare activiteiten van Air Products op het Europese vasteland bedraagt €590 miljoen. Die som kan schommelen naargelang de voorwaarden bij de afronding.

De overeenkomsten hebben betrekking op de verkoop van Air Products’ zuurstoftherapie, slaaptherapie en infuustherapie voor medische thuishulp in continentaal Europa. Deze activiteit bedient een 260.000 patiënten verspreid over de vijf landen en was goed voor een omzet van ongeveer €210 miljoen in 2011.

Der US-amerikanische Industriegasehersteller Air Products hat sich mit der Linde Group auf den Verkauf des Homecare-Geschäfts in Kontinentaleuropa geeinigt. Bestandteil der Einigung ist der Verkauf des Homecare-Geschäfts in Belgien, Frankreich, Deutschland, Portugal und Spanien an Linde. Die Transaktionen unterliegen gesetzlichen Genehmigungen und Anforderungen an Mitarbeitergespräche.

Der Kaufpreis für das Homecare-Geschäft von Air Products in Kontinentaleuropa beträgt 590 Mio. Euro, je nach vereinbarten Bedingungen bei Geschäftsabschluss.

Die Einigung umfasst den Verkauf von Services für die patientenorientierte Sauerstoff-, Schlaf- und Infusionstherapie in Kontinentaleuropa. Der Geschäftsbereich versorgt in den fünf genannten Ländern einen Patientenbestand von ca. 260.000 Patienten und erzielte im Jahr 2011 einen Umsatz von rund 210 Mio. Euro.

Air Products (NYSE:APD) today announced it has reached agreements for The Linde Group to purchase its Homecare business in Belgium, Germany, France, Portugal and Spain. The transactions are subject to regulatory approval and employee consultation requirements.

The total purchase price for Air Products’ Continental Europe Homecare business will be €590 MM, subject to terms agreed upon completion.

The agreements cover the sale of Air Products’ patient-based oxygen-therapy, sleep-therapy and infusion-therapy services in Continental Europe. This business serves a total patient base around 260,000 in all five countries and had revenue of approximately €210 MM last year.

Air Products Announces North America Price Increase for Liquid and Bulk Helium Gases

Effective January 1, 2012, or as contracts permit, Air Products (NYSE: APD) will be implementing a price increase for liquid and bulk helium gases in North America. Specific adjustments are being communicated directly to customers.

The price increase is the result of several factors. The global helium market continues to experience severe shortages in the supply needed to meet the world’s growing demand. The industry-wide shortage has made it increasingly difficult to maintain Air Products’ global system for meeting customer requirements, and unfortunately this situation is expected to continue well into the future. Air Products has incurred increased costs to operate in this manner, as its worldwide helium team is managing this difficult situation on a daily basis in order to maintain uninterruptible supply to customers.

空气化工产品公司 (Air Products，简称空气产品公司，纽约证券交易所代码：APD)今日宣布已在中国安徽省芜湖市投产一座现场大规模制氨工厂，为三安光电旗下子公司安徽三安光电有限公司提供超高纯度氨气。工厂位于三安光电在芜湖经济技术开发区新建的高亮度LED制造基地，年产2000公吨气体，是全球首座也是规模最大的超高纯氨现场制气工厂。

三安光电是中国规模最大的高质量照明发光二极管（LED）制造商。为支持三安光电的扩张计划，空气产品公司目前正在同一制造基地为三安光电建设第二座高纯度氨气工厂，该工厂的产能与此次投产的一期工厂相同，并计划在2012年中期投产。LED制造过程中使用的氮化镓基层需要大量氨气来提供氮的来源。

空气产品公司在中国赢得全球最大的现场空分供气订单

空气化工产品公司 (Air Products，简称空气产品公司，纽约证券交易所代码：APD)今日宣布，公司已与陕西未来能源化工有限公司签署一项长期合同，将在陕西省榆林市建造并运营一座现场空气分离装置。该合同是迄今为止授予工业气体公司的全球最大的空分装置现场气体供应订单。新建装置包括四套大型空气分离机组，每天可为陕西未来能源化工有限公司的煤化工项目提供12000吨氧气以及吨量级的氮气和压缩干燥空气。这些空气分离机组计划在2014年投入运行。

在这份合同签署前不久，空气产品公司曾于9月26日宣布在南京达成了一个长期气体供应项目，将在南京化学工业园区内建造并运营另一座空分装置。另外，空气产品公司还将运营一座综合液化设施来大大增加液态产品的供应，以满足该地区日益增长的商用液态工业气体市场的需求。南京工业园区的新装置将于2013年投入运行，这是空气产品公司在该地区建造的第三座空分装置。

Los niños hospitalizados en el Complejo Hospitalario de Toledo disfrutaron ayer de una fiesta infantil con la que dieron la bienvenida a la Navidad. La jornada festiva, organizada por Carburos Médica junto con el centro hospitalario, hizo que los más pequeños disfrutaran y se olvidaran del motivo de su ingreso. Air Products Brings World’s First On-site High-Purity Ammonia Plant Onstream in China to Support Booming LED Market

Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced it has brought a large-scale, on-site ammonia (NH3) plant onstream in China’s Anhui Province to supply ultra high-purity NH3 to Anhui Sanan OptoElectronics Co. Ltd, a subsidiary of Sanan OptoElectronics (Sanan). The plant, located at Sanan’s new high brightness LED (light emitting diode) manufacturing facility in the Wuhu Economic and Technological Development Area, is the largest on-site high-purity NH3 facility in the world with a supply capacity of 2,000 metrics tons per year.

Sanan is the largest high quality LED manufacturer in China. To support Sanan’s expansion plan, Air Products is also building a second high-purity NH3 plant with the same capacity, which is expected to be onstream in the middle of 2012. Large volumes of NH3 are needed to provide the nitrogen source for the gallium nitride layers used in the manufacture of LEDs.

A grand opening ceremony was held on December 12 at Sanan’s Wuhu facility to celebrate the milestone. Attendees included Steve Jones, Air Products’ China president and senior vice president and general manager of Global Tonnage Gases, Energy and Equipment; Joseph Stockunas, director of electronics materials for Air Products; and representatives from Sanan.

Air Products’ China Project Award is Largest Single On-Site ASU Order Ever

Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced it has signed a long-term contract with Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. and will build, own and operate the largest on-site air separation unit (ASU) order ever awarded to an industrial gas company. The facility, to be located in Yulin, Shaanxi Province, China, will include multiple ASU trains and produce 12,000 tons per day (TPD) of oxygen and significant tonnage volumes of nitrogen and compressed dry air for Shaanxi’s coal chemical plant. The Air Products ASU trains are scheduled to be operational in 2014.

“We are honored to have reached this milestone and to supply this very large industrial gas demand for Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Company. We believe our worldwide track record of industrial gas facility safety and production reliability was important to gaining this long-term contract. Winning this new order allows Air Products to supply two important customers, both located in Shaanxi Province, from the two largest ASU train orders ever awarded to an industrial gas company,” said Steve Jones, Air Products’ China president. Jones, a member of the company’s corporate executive committee, is based in Shanghai as part of Air Products’ corporate strategy to support significant growth opportunities and accelerate the company’s development in emerging markets.

In 2010, Air Products had announced, what at that time, was the largest single ASU on-site order ever committed to an industrial gas company. Scheduled to be operational in mid-2013 in Weinan, Shaanxi Province, China, that facility includes three ASU trains producing over 8,200 TPD of oxygen, over 3,100 TPD of nitrogen, and over 375 TPD of compressed dry air, along with producing liquid products for the merchant market.

The industrial gases produced by Air Products’ ASUs and supplied to Shaanxi Future Energy Chemical Company at Yulin will be used to help produce one million tons per year of oil products. The ASU trains are to include design enhancements to minimize operating costs through energy efficiency. Technology advancements and other productivity improvements support Air Products’ overall sustainability goals of reducing energy consumption and emissions. “We have worked hard to develop the lowest cost and newest advanced technology ASU facilities to serve our customers with energy efficiencies that benefit their operations and the environment,” said Jones.

“We are pleased to sign the ASU gases supply contract with Air Products today. We believe that through close cooperation with Air Products, we can build and operate a world-class coal chemical plant,” said Qiwen Sun, general manger of Shaanxi Future Energy Chemicals Co., Ltd.

Shaanxi Future Energy Company was established in 2011. It is jointly-owned by YanKuang Coal Group (50%), Yanzhou Coal Co., Ltd. (25%) and Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group (25%).

Today’s China contract award news follows Air Products’ Sept. 26 announcement of a project in Nanjing, China where the company will build, own and operate another ASU in the Nanjing Chemicals Industrial Park to supply industrial gases under long-term contract. Air Products will also operate an integrated liquefier to significantly increase the supply of liquid products for the growing merchant liquid industrial gas market in the region. The Nanjing operations are scheduled to be operational in 2013. It will be the third Air Products’ ASU operating at this location.

The collaboration between Air Products and the Institute of Gas Separation Engineering of USTB will focus on the development of an advanced technology model to improve energy and capital efficiency in air separation processes.

Air Products’ India Joint Venture Investing in Two New Merchant Gases Plants and Signs Another Long-Term Supply Agreement with Posco, India

Air Products (NYSE: APD) today announced that INOX Air Products Ltd., its joint venture in India, will invest over $50 million (Rs 250 crores) to construct two new air separation units (ASU) for the growing merchant industrial gas markets in West and South India. The company also announced INOX Air Products’ signing of a new long-term industrial gas supply contract with Posco Maharashtra Steel Private Limited (PMSPL) for hydrogen and nitrogen for PMSPL’s Phase 2 facility expansion in Maharashtra. The INOX Air Products facilities are all scheduled to come on stream between late 2012 and early 2013.

“These two important projects are a substantial next step in our efforts to extend our leadership position in the merchant industrial gases market in India. We continue to invest in these projects to ensure that we are in the best position to supply our customers with reliable, high quality and cost effective solutions for their industrial gas needs,” said Pavan K. Jain, managing director of INOX Air Products. “Our repeat win at Posco is clear evidence that we are consistently delivering value for our customers.”

INOX Air Products will build one of the ASUs to produce liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen in the state of Andhra Pradesh to serve a strong customer base in key manufacturing segments. This facility is strategically located close to the principal markets it will serve and will provide customers with enhanced security of industrial gas supply. This facility complements the four existing INOX Air Products industrial gas production facilities currently serving customers in Andhra Pradesh and the surrounding area.

INOX Air Products will build the second ASU for the merchant industrial gas market in Maharashtra. For over three decades, INOX Air Products has repeatedly shown its commitment to this region with significant investments in production facilities at five locations across Maharashtra. “INOX Air Products’ investments are widely acknowledged to have provided unparalleled reliability of industrial gases supply to the diverse customer base in the region. Air Products (NYSE:APD) and Dow Corning―a global leader in silicones, silicon-based technology and innovation―entered into a long-term supply agreement for electronic-grade silane, a material used for manufacturing flat panel displays, semiconductors and photovoltaic cells.

The agreement provides Air Products with access to significant silane volume to meet the present and future needs of its global customers, as well as the future growth of the electronics and solar industry.

Air Products, leverancier van gassen voor de levensmiddelenindustrie, industriële apparatuur en diensten, brengt de Freshline QS tunnelvriezer op de markt. Deze ‘Quick Start’ tunnelvriezer kan gebruikt worden voor het cryogeen vriezen van een groot aantal soorten voedingsmiddelen, zoals vis, schaal- en schelpdieren, vlees en gevogelte, groenten en fruit, zuivelproducten en pasta. Ook bereide maaltijden en gebakken producten kunnen in de QS tunnelvriezer ingevroren worden. Door het eenvoudige ontwerp is de nieuwe tunnelvriezer zeer geschikt voor kleinere voedselproducenten en jonge bedrijven, die met een relatief beperkte investering toch snel willen invriezen.

Door de eenvoudige tunnelwerking is minder mankracht vereist en is het gemakkelijk te bedienen. Callens: “In het automatische bedieningspaneel zijn voorgeprogrammeerde recepten opgenomen, waardoor de juiste instellingen met één druk op de knop gevonden zijn. De QS tunnelvriezer biedt, in vergelijking met een batchvriezer, een veel grotere invriescapaciteit. Air Products Settles Spanish Tax Audit

Air Products (NYSE:APD) today announced a settlement with Spanish tax authorities for approximately €40 million ($55 million). This settlement was reached by mutual agreement, and no fines or penalties were assessed.

The settlement resolves a dispute in which the authorities disallowed certain deductions taken by the company’s Spanish subsidiaries in fiscal years 2005 to 2011.

Although Air Products continues to believe that all positions were compliant with applicable laws and verified by external experts, the company decided to settle this matter now.

It’s expected that a significant portion of the settlement amount will be recorded as an increase to income tax expense in the first quarter of fiscal year 2012. This expense was not included in the company’s previously provided first quarter diluted earnings per share guidance of $1.31 to $1.39.

Traitement des eaux usées
La gamme Halia® d'Air Products regroupe de nombreuses solutions à l'oxygène pur pour l'élimination des micro-polluants, la désinfection des eaux usées ou encore le recyclage de l'eau à des fins industrielles. Utilisée pour doper les stations d'épuration biologiques saturées et/ou absorber les pointes de charges (abattement de la DCO ou dénitrification) cette technologie allie simplicité de mise en œuvre et basse consommation d'énergie, réduisant ainsi les coûts d'aération. D'autres procédés, destinées à la désintégration des boues, sont capables d'en réduire les volumes de 65 à 80%, comme par exemple la gamme Halia® Ozone Reactor. Cette solution est également dédiée au traitement de la DCO non biodégradable à petit débit et concentration élevée. La technologie Halia® Advanced Oxidation System (HiPOx) permet quant à elle de réaliser le traitement des DCO non biodégradable à gros débit et faible concentration.

Traitement de l’air
Destructeurs de la couche d'ozone, les composés organiques volatils (COV) sont placés sous haute surveillance et la réglementation ne cesse d'abaisser les seuils de rejet tolérés. Le procédé CryoCondap® d'Air Products permet de récupérer jusqu'à 99% des vapeurs de solvants et d'hydrocabures dans les effluents gazeux collectés avant leur retour dans l'atmosphère. Le respect de la réglementation va ainsi de pair avec une amélioration de la rentabilité globale d'une exploitation.

Traitement des déchets critiques…

… tels que les pneumatiques usagés :
Environ 350 000 tonnes de pneus sont mis chaque année au rebut en France selon l'ADEME mais leur mise en décharge est interdite depuis le 1er juillet 2002. Il convient donc de les recycler de façon rentable. Leader mondial en matière de développement de technologies cryogéniques, Air Products offre des systèmes de cryo-broyage qui utilisent l'azote liquide pour fragiliser le stock de pneus à broyer et l'amener à sa température de transition vitreuse permettant ainsi d'obtenir de plus fines particules de caoutchouc (jusqu'à 10 microns dans certains cas), une courbe de distribution plus étroite et un meilleur rendement. Autre bénéfice de l'azote liquide : son effet refroidissant sur le procédé de broyage permet au produit final de conserver la plupart de ses qualités originelles. De plus grande valeur, la poudrette obtenue offre ainsi un meilleur potentiel commercial comparé à un produit issu d'un procédé de broyage classique.

Le recyclage des réfrigérateurs est compliqué par la présence de CFC, de COV et les risques d'explosion. Air Products a donc développé une technologie de condensation cryogénique utilisée dans les unités européennes de recyclage des réfrigérateurs sous le nom générique de CryoCondap®. Elle consiste à inerter le processus pour, en contrôlant le niveau d'oxygène, éliminer tout risque d'explosion et récupérer en toute sécurité les agents moussants propulseurs contenant les CFC et les COV.

Air Products’ PRISM® Gas Generation System is the Answer for Gerdau Steel

The ribbon has been cut, and Air Products’ (NYSE: APD) PRISM® VSA Oxygen Generation System is now officially supplying Gerdau Steel’s Whitby, Ontario, Canada facility with over 200 tons per day of oxygen for its steelmaking plant. Air Products won the long-term contract, which also includes liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen supply, by demonstrating the versatile flexibility of the PRISM system as the right fit for Gerdau’s production schedule.

“We have vast experience working with the global steel industry to meet their industrial gas needs. Not all steel mills are the same, and we have several supply options to provide the right solution. Our PRISM VSA Oxygen Generation System was the ideal fit to help Gerdau achieve an optimal balance between efficiency and economics,” said Nelson Squires, vice president, North America Merchant Gases at Air Products. “We worked closely with Gerdau to understand their steel plant operating needs and to evaluate the gas supply alternatives, and our PRISM product was the on-site solution chosen.”

Unlike cryogenic air separation processes, the VSA generator works at ambient temperature, significantly reducing power consumption, capital investment, and the amount of time to stop and start the system. The system’s modular design requires minimal plot space and is efficiently skidded for low installation cost.

This Gerdau project announcement follows Air Products’ September 2011 PRISM VSA Oxygen Generation System contract win at a first-of-its-kind waste-to-ethanol facility in Vero Beach, Florida, demonstrating the application versatility of the oxygen system.

Air Products Healthcare souligne le lien entre diabète et apnée du sommeil

A l'occasion de la Journée Mondiale du Diabète1 et du prochain Congrès du Sommeil2, Air Products Healthcare met à disposition du grand public, via les professionnels de santé, un nouveau titre dans la collection des Carnets du Sommeil de l'INSV (Institut National du Sommeil et de la Vigilance) : « Sommeil & Diabète ». Ce livret de 16 pages explique dans un langage simple la pathologie, ses symptômes, ses liens avec le sommeil et les solutions existantes, le tout complété par des conseils pratiques pour améliorer la qualité de vie du patient. En supplément, un agenda du sommeil permet au lecteur de préparer sa première consultation avec un spécialiste. Ce carnet est accompagné d'une affiche « Troubles du Sommeil – Attention Diabète » pour sensibiliser les patients sur ce sujet.

Air Products 2011 Chairman’s Award of Excellence Presented to Yu-Nan Liu

Dr. Yu-Nan Liu of Air Products (NYSE:APD) was joined by family, colleagues and the company chairman last night at a dinner honoring him as this year’s recipient of the Chairman’s Award of Excellence.

Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer John McGlade noted that as technical director, LNG, for Air Products, Dr. Liu has been influential in the development of 55 LNG (liquefied natural gas) production trains at plants around the world. He is named on four patents, has authored over 20 publications and is recognized by the industry as one of the world’s premier LNG technical experts.

“Yu-Nan’s creativity and technical ability have significantly contributed to Air Products as the premier supplier of cryogenic natural gas liquefaction technology and equipment,” said McGlade. “Yu-Nan’s reputation precedes him, and in a conservative industry, he makes customers feel comfortable accepting new technology. I want to thank him for his contributions to Air Products for over 35 years.”

The Chairman’s Award for Excellence was established in 1988 to honor significant contributions of employees towards the realization of corporate goals. Winners are selected by the chairman based on nominations proposed by a committee comprised of senior company officials. Dr. Liu received $75,000 in cash and company stock, and was presented with a sculpture symbolizing the technology for air separation engraved with the Latin title “Caelum Aratro Findimus,” translated as “To Cleave the Sky.”

Carburos Metálicos y Abelló Linde invierten más de 40 millones de euros en una nueva planta en Sagunto (Valencia)

Oxígeno de Sagunto, una Joint Venture (50/50) entre las compañías Carburos Metálicos, grupo Air Products, y Abelló Linde, miembro del Grupo Linde, ha anunciado que invertirá más de 40 millones de euros en una nueva Unidad de Separación de Aire (ASU), localizada en Sagunto.

Esta mañana, directivos de ambas compañías se han reunido con Antonio Cejalvo, Director General de Energía de la Conselleria de Economía, Industria y Comercio de la Comunidad Valenciana y Alfredo Castelló, alcalde de Sagunto, así como con otras personalidades de la localidad, para celebrar oficialmente el acto de colocación de primera piedra de las nuevas instalaciones, un acto que muestra la importante inversión llevada a cabo en la región.

La División Linde Engineering es la encargada de construir la nueva planta, que sustituirá a las instalaciones que existen actualmente en esta misma localidad, y que entrará en funcionamiento a principios de 2013. Utilizando las tecnologías y los procesos más avanzados, esta Unidad de Separación de Aire aumentará considerablemente su eficiencia energética y producirá aproximadamente 400 toneladas por día de oxígeno, nitrógeno y argón. Esta cifra supone triplicar los volúmenes actuales de producción.

"La decisión de ampliar nuestra presencia en Sagunto, con el apoyo del Ayuntamiento, aportará grandes ventajas para los clientes, donde los gases del aire juegan un papel determinante en la producción industrial en múltiples sectores, ha comentado Graham Rhodes, Vice President & Regional Executive, Global Merchant Gases Strategy and Business Development de Air Products, en la planta de Sagunto hoy. "La construcción de esta planta ampliará nuestra capacidad para atender la demanda y adicionalmente mejorará la eficiencia energética y la productividad. "La inversión realizada por Linde supone un paso hacia adelante y asegura una mejora de la eficiencia, y nos posibilita para ofrecer un mejor servicio a los clientes. De la misma manera, esta inversión nos permite seguir creciendo a la vez que contribuimos al desarrollo positivo de la economía", comenta Peter Stocks, Head of Regional Business Unit Continental & Northen Europe, Linde Gases Division.
